I have a boyfriend and we've been going out for a while now. The problem is that I still have trouble talking to him. He doesn't like to make the first move and I'm still embarrassed to even hold a conversation with him. There's this event coming up and I really want to ask him if he'll go with me, what should I do?

My Advice:
You don't need to be embarrassed. This guy knows that you like him. You're over that stage. He just wants to talk to you. He won't care if you say something stupid. He'll probably think that its cute. If he didn't actually like you then you two wouldn't still be going out. Just try and talk to him about anything. School, the weather, news, your friends, anything to get the two of you talking. Talk to him more and you'll get over the whole embarrassment thing. When you talk to him drop hints about the dance like, "Did you hear there's a dance coming up?" Try this and hopefully it will get you over this whole embarrassment thing.
