Monday Update: the Revival Begins

Hey, everyone! I am really sad to see iStudent wither away like this, so I am making it my OFFICIAL mission to revive iStudents, one page at a time! Here are some of my ideas to help bring the Gossip/Fashion page back to life again!

-I'll bet the main thing we care about with fashion thesedays is... what to do about the dresscode!? Found any loopholes in what we can do? Any cute accessory ideas you can share with us? We're all suffering here, so please help!

Okay, I'm not good at this! I don't belong on the fashion page! More about what to do here will be coming later, from possibly a different source.

Since there was no interest in the contest, it's now over.

Good job to Carly, though, for turning in her design. It was a fabulous design complete with handbags, shoes, etc. Yay, Carly!

More On the Contest

Alrighty...

• This is based on a point system. The more points you get, the more likely you'll win. Each entry will start out with 10 points. With everything that we think is bad, we'll subtract a point. For everything we think is good, we'll add a point. The three judges - most likely me as one of them - will each score the entries and we'll add all the points up in the end.
• You may enter as many times as you wish.
• If you draw it on a person, you'll get 5 bonus points.
• If you include a handbag/purse, you'll get 2 bonus points.
• If you include jewelry, it's 2 bonus points each.
• If you have shoes, it's 2 bonus points.
• If you draw an outfit for a person of the opposite gender that goes with the original outfit, you'll get 15 bonus points.
• It doesn't have to be colored in, but if it is, you get 3 bonus points.
• If you do NOT go to HMS, you either cannot participate - sorry! - or you will have to find a scanner, scan it onto your computer, and email the sketch to me or Kenzi. Anyone can email it to us, whether or not you go to Hanes.

The deadline will be April 14th. If you turn it in...

• March 10th-16th: 30 bonus points
• March 17th-23rd: 20 bonus points
• March 24th-30th: 10 bonus points
• March 31st-April 6th: 5 bonus points

The prizes will be...

• 3rd place: Certificate
• 2nd place: Choice from the prize box and Certificate
• 1st place: Earrings, choice from the prize box, and Certificate

If you don't go to Hanes and we will never see you, but you win, you will get a Certificate only. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Oh, and if you are NOT in my grade, look at the contact details on the first page, under 'Silly'. If you do not know where Mr. C's classroom is, it's the one nearest the art room, in front of the spanish room. I'm usually either there or walking around. If you can't find me then, give your entry to the 6th graders, Susannah or Jessica, and tell them to give it to me. Please put it in a folder or something and have your name, grade, and homeroom. This goes for all entries. 8th graders, hand it to Hannah W., Amanda, or Sharon and say it's for me.

This is for all of you fashion-loving people. This contest is going to be... design your own outfit! Your outfit should have your own special touch. You can sketch it and give it to Kenzi or Silly, and we will go over them. The theme for the outfits is a Night Club-ish thing.
